Mori Shûhô was an [[Edo period]] painter, and elder brother of painter [[Mori Sosen]].
Shûhô was trained in the style of the [[Kano school|Kanô school]], but combined this mode with elements of Western-style painting, including low-dipping foregrounds, which give a sense of distance.
