Yoshihide was a son of [[Hatakeyama Yoshitoyo]] (and a descendant of [[Hatakeyama Yoshinari]]). He held [[Takeyama castle]] in Kawatchi province. He lost his castle to [[Hatakeyama Naonobu]] but, siding with the [[Miyoshi clan]] and [[Hosokawa Sumimoto]] in [[1511]], he was able to return. He was an ally of [[Miyoshi Motonaga]] and committed suicide when under attack by [[Hosokawa Harumoto]] in 1532.
