Ikeda Kôtarô was a young samurai who fought and died in the [[Satsuma Rebellion]]. He was killed at age 14, on [[1877]]/9/24, at the Battle of Shiroyama. He was buried at the [[Nanshu Cemetery|Nanshû Cemetery]] in [[Kagoshima]].
