Yamashiro Seichû was an Okinawan poet, physician, and writer, known in particular as one of the most prominent and influential Okinawan poets of the early 20th century.

Born in Naha in 1884, he studied under Yosano Tekkan and Yosano Akiko, and was close friends with Ishikawa Takuboku. He is considered one of the three chief Okinawan writers of his time, alongside Shô Jun and Jahana Unseki.
