Nobutatsu was a brother of [[Takeda Shingen|Shingen]], though he had a different mother then his elder brothers. He held [[Ueno castle]] and served in a number of Shingen's battles, including [[Battle of Mikatagahara|Mikatagahara]], and took part in the fighting at [[Battle of Nagashino|Nagashino]] in [[1575]] under his nephew Katsuyori.
