Sakurai Keitoku was head priest of the [[Miidera]] branch temple [[Homyo-in|Hômyô-in]] (in [[Otsu|Ôtsu]], [[Shiga prefecture]]) in the early [[Meiji period]].
He is known for his support of the Americans [[Ernest Fenollosa]] and [[William Sturgis Bigelow]], who received monastic names from Keitoku in [[1885]]. Keitoku died later that year.
