Itamiya Sukejirô was a maritime trader known for contributing to supplying the [[Shimazu clan]] armies during [[Toyotomi Hideyoshi|Toyotomi Hideyoshi's]] [[Korean Invasions]].

Though captured in [[1601]] and charged with piracy, he or his next of kin then relocated to the port city of [[Sakai]] (near [[Osaka]]) and remained successful into the early [[Edo period]].
