*Japanese: 宗 将盛 (Sou Masamori)
Sô Masamori was the 14th head of the Sô clan. He is known for building Kaneishi castle, which would remain the seat of Tsushima han through the Edo period.
A son of Sô Morihiro, he was born into a branch family who oversaw Toyosaki district, but later succeeded Sô Morinaga to become head of the main line of the Sô clan. In 1527, Masamori built a new family mansion, known as the Ike no yakata, in Izuhara (the main castle-town of Tsushima Island), but this was burned down the following year in a rebellion led by Sô Moriharu of the Tsutsu district branch family. Masamori managed to escape and survive the rebellion, and constructed a new mansion called Kaneishi yakata. Masamori failed to command the loyalty of his retainers, however, and was forced into retirement in 1539.
Masamori was succeeded as 15th head of the Sô clan by his uncle, Sô Haruyasu. Masamori's sons Sô Shigenao, Yoshizumi, and Yoshitoshi later became the 17th, 18th, and 19th heads of the family,.
