Sô Sukekuni is the earliest head of the [[So clan|Sô clan]] who is known from historical documents.
He led more than 80 warriors on horseback into battle against the first of the [[Mongol invasions]] in [[1274]], but was killed in battle at Komodahama on the western coast of [[Tsushima]].
He was succeeded as family head by his son [[So Moriakira|Sô Moriakira]], also known as Umatarô.
