The Tayasu Tokugawa clan was one of the three ''[[Gosankyo|Gosankyô]]'' clans related to the [[Tokugawa shogunate|Tokugawa shoguns]]. Initially headed by [[Tokugawa Munetake]], a son of [[Shogun]] [[Tokugawa Yoshimune]], they maintained a mansion inside the Tayasu-mon gate of [[Edo castle]].
