The Gyeong'ui Line was a major train line which ran from [[Seoul]] to the Korea-China border, where it connected to the Southern Manchurian Railway. Opened in [[1905]] and severed at the line between North and South Korea in 1945, the train line has come to take on a symbolic meaning as evocative of division, and severed connections.
