Mabuni [[anji]] Shô Taimo was a [[scholar-aristocracy of Ryukyu|Ryukyuan scholar-official]] who served as ''[[sorikan|sôrikan]]'' in interactions with Americans and Europeans in the 1850s. He was one of the chief officials to head interactions with [[Commodore Perry]] on behalf of the kingdom in [[1853]].
