Ôtsu is a city near [[Kyoto]], located on the southwestern shore of [[Lake Biwa]]. In the [[Edo period]], Ôtsu was a [[shukuba|post-station]] at the intersection of the [[Tokaido|Tôkaidô]], [[Nakasendo|Nakasendô]], and ''[[Chosenjin kaido|Chôsenjin kaidô]]''.
