Ki no Yukihira was a swordsmith of the early [[Kamakura period]], and the founder of the Takada lineage of swordsmiths.
Originally from [[Bungo province]], he served [[Shogun]] [[Minamoto no Yoritomo]], and when [[Otomo Yoshinao|Ôtomo Yoshinao]] became ''[[shugo]]'' of Bungo and [[Buzen province]]s, Yukihira followed him, and established the Takada lineage of swordsmiths there.
