Kaimondake is a volcanic peak near the southern tip of [[Kyushu]]. At 923 meters, it is the highest point on the Satsuma peninsula.
Also known as "Satsuma Fuji," it was an important landmark for [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryukyuan]] ships traveling to [[Kagoshima]].
