Emperor Go-Momozono was an [[emperor]] of the mid-[[Edo period]].
A son of [[Emperor Sakuramachi]], he took the throne in [[1770]] following the abdication of his aunt, [[Empress Go-Sakuramachi]].
Go-Momozono died in [[1779]] without any sons; a member of a collateral line of the Imperial family then married Go-Momozono's only daughter, and took the throne as [[Emperor Kokaku|Emperor Kôkaku]].
