Mori Masana was a samurai retainer of Tosa domain.
He was the fourth son of Mori Yoshiki. Like his father, Masana was an avid diarist, and wrote extensively about his time spent both in Tosa, and in Edo, having traveled to the latter five times in 1828 to 1856 as part of the Tosa lord's sankin kôtai entourage.
