Tei Heitetsu was a [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryukyuan]] scholar-bureaucrat, known for the compilation of the ''[[Ryukyu-koku kyuki|Ryûkyû-koku kyûki]]''. A translation and adaptation of the ''[[Ryukyu-koku yuraiki|Ryûkyû-koku yuraiki]]'' into Chinese, with the additional of nine more volumes, Heitetsu completed the task in [[1731]].

In [[1752]], he served as ''gieisei'' (master of the procession & of street musicians) in that year's [[Ryukyuan embassy to Edo]].
