The [[Konoe family]] mansion and 66 other imperial and noble residences are destroyed, along with 21 temples. The shogunate granted 2000 ''[[currency|ryô]]'' to each of a number of [[kuge|court noble]] families to help rebuild their residences; the Konoe family mansion was rebuilt within 13 months, while most of the commoners of the city had considerably more difficulties in recovering from the fire.
