The ''sanshin-uchi'' or ''sangen nushidori'' was a [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryukyuan]] official post which oversaw the construction of high quality [[sanshin]] (a three-stringed musical instrument related to the Japanese [[shamisen]]). The post was created by King [[Sho Eki|Shô Eki]] in [[1710]] and came under the umbrella of the ''[[kaizuri bugyo|kaizuri bugyô-sho]]'', which oversaw [[lacquer]]wares and other craft products.
