The Yasuda of [[Echigo province]] were descended from [[Oe Hiromoto|Ôe Hiromoto]] and were therefore related to the [[Kitajo clan|Kitajô]] and [[Mori clan|Môri]] (all three shared the same mon). By [[1559]] they were serving [[Uesugi Kenshin]], and would later support [[Uesugi Kagekatsu]].
