It is said in the [[Nihon Shoki]] that a Tajihi Flower (Itadori Flower) fell into the well where [[Emperor Hanzei]]'s bath water was being drawn from. He henceforth got the name "Emperor Tajihi no Mizuhawake".

The perennial Itadori flower is found on all four main islands of Japan, along with general East Asia.
