* 1561/2 [[Uesugi Kenshin]] besieges [[Hojo Ujiyasu|Hôjô Ujiyasu]] [[Siege of Odawara (1561)|in Odawara]] but retreats after two months.

 

* 1561/6 [[Saito Yoshitatsu|Saitô Yoshitatsu]] dies of leprosy and is succeded by [[Saito Tatsuoki|Saitô Tatsuoki]]. Only three days later the [[Saito clan|Saitô]] are defeated at the [[Battle of Moribe]] by [[Oda Nobunaga]].
