*''Chinese'': 明實錄 ''(Ming shi lu)''
The ''Ming shi lu'', or "Veritable Records of the Ming Dynasty," is a compilation of accounts of the reigns of each emperor of the Chinese [[Ming Dynasty]].
Totalling nearly 40,000 pages of Classical Chinese in the original manuscripts, the ''Ming shi lu'' is one of the chief primary sources on Ming history, along with the ''[[Ming shi]]'', or "Official History of the Ming Dynasty."
While each volume of the ''Ming shi lu'' was written shortly after the end of the reign it covers, the ''Ming shi'' was compiled a century after the fall of the Ming, from Ming period sources such as the ''Ming shi lu''.
