Ujinaga succeeded his father [[Narita Nagayasu|Nagayasu]] after a struggle for power with his younger brother [[Narita Nagachika|Nagachika]]. He served the Hôjô in the [[Seige of Odawara]] and was afterwards given a fief by [[Tokugawa Ieyasu]] at [[Karasuyama]] in [[Shimotsuke province]] worth some 35,000 [[koku]]. His son Ujimune died without an heir and so the Narita fief passed to the Tokugawa.
