Kinokuniya Bunzaemon was an [[Edo period]] merchant specializing in citrus, lumber, and salmon, among other goods. He enjoyed the favoritism and protection of shogunal advisor [[Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu]] and shogunal minister of finances [[Ogura Shigehide]], and made a sizeable fortune as a result.
