Megata Yukinobu was a retainer of the [[Amako clan]], serving both [[Amako Yoshihisa]] and [[Amako Katsuhisa|Katsuhisa]]. Yukinobu became a ronin when [[Gassan-Toda castle]] was surrendered to [[Mori Motonari|Môri Motonari]] by Yoshihisa in [[1566]].  He joined with [[Yamanaka Shikanosuke]] and others to assist with Katsuhisa's penetration of Izumo in an effort to return the clan to power, but died of sickness in Izumo in the process.
