Jôkyô-ji is a temple of the Jôdo-Shinshû Honganji sect, located on Sanjô-dôri in the city of Nara.

Originally located in Kawachi Province (Osaka), the temple was moved to Nara in the 16th century. It was established in its current location by the Tokugawa shogunate, which officially provided, or designated, the "temple lands" in 1603.

Ernest Fenollosa gave a lecture at the temple on 1888/6/5.
