Yamao Yozo

Yamao Yôzô was one of the Chôshû Five, some of the first Japanese to ever study overseas in the West. After studying for a time at University College London alongside Itô Hirobumi, Inoue Kaoru, and others, he became Minister of Industry, and established an art school and schools for the blind & deaf.
