Tamura Akikage was a Tokugawa shogunate official who served in a number of bugyô positions across the Bakumatsu period. Appointed Kyoto machi bugyô sometime before 1846, he was reassigned to the position of Sakuji bugyô in that year. He was then named Kanjô bugyô in 1853, and was promoted to Ômetsuke and reassigned to the position ofkarô of the Tayasu family in 1855.

In 1860, he was appointed Nishinomaru rusui.
