It's a bit messy, and only has info from the Cambridge book thus far, but the info is there for the Kamakura shugo, though it probably needs some cleaning up and there is plenty more that could be added to it. I'll get the Muromachi section finished off tomorrow. --AngusH 23:59, 19 September 2006 (PDT)

Keep the comments here, no need for comments on the actual article page. It keeps things cleaner. --Kitsuno 23:50, 20 September 2006 (PDT)

I've got another book on the way that deals with the Muromachi Shugo, so I'm going to wait till I've read through it before completing this section.--AngusH 17:24, 25 September 2006 (PDT)

That's cool - although in my opinion and experience, it is good to add neat little things you come across while you read that you might forget later on. --Kitsuno 23:07, 25 September 2006 (PDT)

Regarding Shugo

Someone should mention the fact that only Shugo *not* from the east were placed in provinces they were not native to. There was obvious bias towards eastern Shugo. I can't find my source right now, but I read it in Jansen' Warrior Rule in Japan. Nagaeyari 10:33, 15 January 2007 (PST)
