  • Scientific Name: Fallopia japonica

The perennial Itadori flower is found on all four main islands of Japan, along with general East Asia.

It is said in the Nihon Shoki that a Tajihi Flower (Itadori Flower) fell into the well where Emperor Hanzei's bath water came from. He henceforth got the name "Emperor Tajihi no Mizuhawake".
