Fuyuyasu was the third son of [[Miyoshi Motonaga]] and a younger brother of [[Miyoshi Chokei]] and a noted poet. He held [[Takenokuchi castle]] on [[Awaji province|Island]] and commanded ships for his elder brother. In the third month of [[1562]], he and [[Miyoshi Yoshikata]] lost in battle to [[Hatakeyama Takamasa]] in [[Izumi province]], and was forced to flee to Awaji. However, during the sixth month of the same year, Takamasa was destroyed in [[Kawachi province]].
