What exactly does 幕府召し抱え refer to? were 召し抱え (mercenaries) different troops from the Shinsengumi? A biography for Shibayama Tokusaburou says: 1867/6/10 の幕府召し抱えで平士に名を連ねている。What exactly does this mean?  --Kitsuno 21:11, 29 December 2006 (PST)

::How does the reformatted list of captains look? I went with 番組 instead of 番隊 because that was how it was listed in the shinsengumi tettei guide, is that correct? --Kitsuno 13:00, 31 January 2007 (PST)

:Doesn't it mean "to become a Ronin"? (or at least to "desert/flee" your han)?  I believe the indication is that they would be leaving the service of thier lord without permission?  --Kitsuno 17:28, 7 January 2007 (PST)

In the shinsengumi article it says: "Right after they arrived at Kyoto, Kiyokawa's conspiracy was revealed." - What was the conspiracy? Was Kiyokawa secretly against the Bakufu? I remember reading something about this, but I can't remember exactly what this was about.  --Kitsuno 08:20, 31 January 2007 (PST)

The new article looks good - I think it needs to get one final reorganization - it seems to end where it starts, sort of circular (probably because of the leftovers from the original).  Also needs to be broken up in to sub-sections for ease of use (Maybe "Background", "organization", "First assignment" etc.- I'm just throwing out random ideas), and I think adding in the list of members would give it the final fill out.  --Kitsuno 12:58, 31 January 2007 (PST)

I think Obenjo-san cared about me. You can modify the leftovers of original article to fit. Or delete it. But I think it should mention Kiyokawa Hachiro.--Shikisoku 04:48, 1 February 2007 (PST)
