Makara Naotaka was a [[Sengoku period]] warrior in service to [[Asakura Yoshikage]]. He personally covered the retreat of the Asakura at the [[1570]] [[battle of Anegawa]], engaging in hand-to-hand combat with the support of his son until he was cut down.
An ''ôdachi'' sword known as ''Sue no Aoe'', held at the treasure house at [[Atsuta Shrine]] in [[Nagoya]], is believed to have been used by Naotaka in that battle.
