Kushima Masanari

• Title: Hyôgo no kami

Masashige was locally powerful in northern Sagami province. He was at first a vassal of the Imagawa clan but broke away after the death of Imagawa Ujiteru. He was defeated and by Takeda Nobutora's army in 1521 but whether he died on this occasion or in a battle in June of 1536 is a matter of debate among scholars. His son was adopted by Hôjô Ujitsuna.
