Hosokawa Tadatoshi is considered the third [[Edo period]] head of the [[Hosokawa clan]]. A son of [[Hosokawa Tadaoki]] (Sansai) and [[Hosokawa Gracia]], he was the lord of [[Kokura han]] until [[1632]], when he was transferred by the [[Tokugawa shogunate]] to [[Kumamoto han]], where the Hosokawa would remain through the end of the Edo period.<br />
