Hosokawa Narimori

Hosokawa Narimori was a Bakumatsu era lord of Kumamoto han. A son of Hosokawa Tatsuyuki, he became the adopted son of Hosokawa Naritatsu, and succeeded Naritatsu to becoming the 12th Edo period head of the Hosokawa clan.

His own sons included Hosokawa Yoshikuni, who succeeded him as lord of Kumamoto, and Hosokawa Morihisa, who succeeded Yoshikuni in turn. Another of his sons was adopted by Tsugaru Yukitsugu, lord of Hirosaki han, and came to be known as Tsugaru Tsuguakira.[1]

Following his death, Narimori was buried alongside his ancestors in a Hosokawa family cemetery at Kôtô-in in Kyoto.[2]
