Help:Biographies
This is the format for biographies on the SamuraiWiki.
Information goes on the top of the page, before the actual biography:
* Born: 1534
* Died: 1582
* Titles: Owari no kami, Kazusa no suke, Udaijin (1577) Sadaijin (1578), Daijô daijin (1578)
* Childhood Name: Kipposhi
* Japanese: 織田信長 (Oda Nobunaga)
This is the result:
- Born: 1534
- Died: 1582
- Titles: Owari no kami, Kazusa no suke, Udaijin (1577) Sadaijin (1578), Daijô daijin (1578)
- Childhood Name: Kipposhi
- Japanese: 織田信長 (Oda Nobunaga)
Any missing information should be left out completely.
The biography should have at least one heading if there is going to be a "xyz in Fiction" section at the bottom:
The Life of Brian
(Brian's biography)
Brian in Fiction
Film
* film name Year
Television
* Show Name Year
Other Appearances
* (TV or Movies where the historical figure is a corallary or guest character)
And so on.
It will look like this:
The Life of Brian
(Brian's biography)
Brian in Fiction
Film
- film name Year
Television
- Show Name Year
Other Appearances
- (TV, Books, Video Games, Anime, or Movies where the historical figure is a corallary or guest character)
Other useful information:
Code: Nobunaga's house.
Result: Nobunaga's house.
Code: The castle that was taken was Maruyama.
Result: The castle that was taken was Maruyama.
Code: The Imagawa invaded in 1565.
Result: The Imagawa invaded in 1565.
Obviously, when the text calls for the full name or full castle name, just link like normal Oda Nobunaga.
Also, until someone says it would look better or should be done that way, we will only link the first occurence of a link - for example, the first Oda Nobunaga will be Oda Nobunaga, but after that, no more occurences will be linked.
