Hai Bao was a Manchu official and lead envoy on a [[Chinese investiture envoys|investiture mission]] to [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryûkyû]] in [[1719]]. He was a corrector from the [[Hanlin Academy]], and was accompanied on the mission by vice-envoy [[Xu Baoguang]].
