Chosokabe Chikatake

Chikatake was a son of Chôsokabe Kuniyasu and a cousin and retainer of Chôsokabe Motochika. He was active in Motochika's wars to conquer Shikoku and in 1570 was given Tonami castle (taken from the Ichijô), the name of which he assumed. In 1584 he was given Sogo castle in Sanuki province and the following year, at Ueda castle, attempted resist Hideyoshi's invasion of Shikoku. His eventual fate is unclear, but he may have died around 1589.
