Kagetoshi was a son of Asakura Sadakage and was adopted by Asakura Norikage. He served with his adoptive father in a number of campaigns against the ikko and held Tsuruga Castle. He tended to the needs of Ashikaga Yoshiaki when the latter came to Echizen after the death of Ashikaga Yoshiteru in 1565. Son: Kagenao
