Manpukumaru was Asai Nagamasa's only son and hier, and half brother to Nagamasa's three daughters, Chacha, Hatsu, and Oeyo. He was killed by Oda Nobunaga after the fall of Odani castle in 1573, to put an end to the Asai clan for good.
