Sansue was the second son of [[Ando Yoshisue]]. He defeated the [[Onodera clan|Onodera]] in battle in [[1588]] and clashed with the [[Nanbu clan|Nanbu family]]. He sided with [[Tokugawa Ieyasu]] during the [[Sekigahara Campaign]] ([[1600]]) but was unable to assist in the field due to an illness. He was transferred by the [[Tokugawa clan|Tokugawa]] to Shisido in [[Hitachi province|Hitachi]] in [[1602]] and, in [[1632]], to Asama in [[Ise province]].
