Ôno Uchû was a samurai from Karatsu han in [[Hizen province]].
Ôno Uchû was a samurai from Karatsu han in [[Hizen province]].
He joined the [[Shinsengumi]] in [[1868]] and became a subordinate under direct control of [[Hijikata Toshizo]].
After the [[Meiji Restration]], he served for the new government.
He left "Hakodate Senki" a journal of the [[Battle of Hakodate]].
