He was present at the [[Battle of Koriyama|Battles of Koriyama]] ([[1540]]) and [[Battle of Miyajima|Miyajima]] ([[1555]]) and in [[1557]] he trapped [[Ouchi Yoshinaga|Ôuchi Yoshinaga]] at Chôfu in [[Nagato province]] and forced him to commit suicide. He provided daughters in marriage to [[Katsura Motozumi]] and [[Kuchiba Michiyoshi]].
