The Bessho of Harima province were descended from [[Akamatsu Enshin]] ([[1277]]-[[1350]]), a staunch supporter of [[Ashikaga Takauji]]. The Bessho were defeated by [[Toyotomi Hideyoshi]] in [[1580]].
