*''Japanese'': 唐船奉行 ''(tousen bugyou)''
The ''tôsen bugyô'', or Chinese Ships Magistrate, was an official in service to the [[Shimazu clan]] who oversaw interactions with Chinese trading ships making port in Shimazu territory. The position was abolished after the [[Tokugawa shogunate|Tokugawa shogunate's]] [[1611]] edict restricting Chinese ships to [[Nagasaki]].
