He avoided losing his fief through the intercession of [[Asano Nagamasa]] and after serving the [[Tokugawa clan|Tokugawa]] at the [[Osaka Summer Campaign]] had his fief of [[Toyooka]] in [[Tajima province]] increased to 50,000 [[koku]].
