Futamata was quickly surrounded by the [[Tokugawa clan|Tokugawa]] after [[Battle of Nagashino|Nagashino]] and Nobumori himself died of illness during the siege. His sons [[Ashida Nobushige|Nobushige]] and [[Ashida Nobunori|Nobunori]] both died battle in [[1583]], after the fall of the [[Takeda clan|Takeda]].
